Kroma Creator Vault · Terms of Use

Plain rules, visible limits.

These Terms of Use apply to Kroma Creator Vault on iPhone, iPad and Mac, its website pages and support. Kroma Creator Vault is published by NexaraTech.

Last updated: October 7, 2026 · Draft pending legal review

01 · The agreement

Use our apps only if you can agree.

These terms are an agreement between you and NexaraTech, an independent software studio based in Ontario, Canada. By downloading or using our apps, this website, or our support, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you use our apps for an organisation, you confirm that you can bind it to these terms.

02 · Who can use our apps

Kroma Creator Vault is for people aged 16 and older.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Kroma Creator Vault on iPhone, iPad or Mac. For other NexaraTech apps covered by these terms, the minimum age remains 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these terms for you. Their agreement does not permit someone under 16 to use Kroma Creator Vault. You must also meet any higher minimum age and other eligibility requirements imposed by applicable law or by a platform or feature you connect or use. Apple’s App Store content rating is separate from these eligibility requirements and does not replace them.

03 · Your licence

Apple’s licence, plus these terms.

For Kroma Creator Vault distributed through Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the license to use the application. These Terms apply to NexaraTech's website and services to the extent applicable and do not replace or override Apple's Standard License Agreement.

Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for our apps, their content, maintenance, support, or any claims about them. Our apps, their design, and NexaraTech’s names and logos belong to NexaraTech. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute them, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms.

04 · Your content

You keep ownership of your work.

You own the media, captions, notes, tags, transcripts, links and other content you import into or create with our apps. NexaraTech claims no ownership of it and no licence to use it for our own purposes. Because Kroma keeps your library on your device, we do not hold a copy of it.

When you ask Kroma to publish, share or export something, you authorise it to send that content to the destination you chose. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to store, publish and share your content, including from anyone who appears in it.

Keep your own backups. Deleting content, deleting the app, or losing your device can make content unavailable, and we cannot recover it for you.

05 · Connected platforms

Their rules apply to what you publish there.

When you connect or publish to YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook or another platform, your use of that platform is governed by its own terms and policies, and you must follow them. By using YouTube features in Kroma, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.

Platforms decide whether to accept, publish, delay, limit or remove content, and they can change or withdraw the features Kroma relies on. Direct publishing depends on the platform being available and on your account, permissions and network. With assisted sharing, Kroma opens Apple’s share sheet, you choose the app to publish in, and Kroma cannot confirm that the post was published. Treat a status shown in Kroma as a record of what Kroma sent, not proof of what a platform did with it.

Posting to TikTok from Kroma for Mac

Kroma for Mac posts directly to your TikTok account, and only when you press Post. Before you post, you choose who can see it and whether others can comment, Duet or Stitch, from the options TikTok allows for your account. You are responsible for the video, caption and settings you post. By posting to TikTok from Kroma, you agree to TikTok’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines and Music Usage Confirmation. If a post promotes your own business or a third party, you must disclose it as TikTok requires and, for branded content, follow TikTok’s Branded Content Policy. TikTok may take a few minutes to process a post, and it decides whether and to whom the post is shown.

06 · Acceptable use

Use our apps lawfully and fairly.

You agree not to use our apps, website or support to:

  • break the law, or infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
  • publish content that is unlawful, harassing, deceptive, or that you do not have the right to share;
  • spam, manipulate engagement, or otherwise break a connected platform’s rules;
  • impersonate someone or misrepresent your connection to a person or organisation;
  • upload malicious code, probe or overload our systems, or get around security or access controls;
  • process other people’s personal information without the authority and legal basis to do so.

Kroma is a tool for individual creators, not an enterprise data-processing service. See our data processing note before using it with business or customer data.

07 · Purchases and subscriptions

Apple manages App Store billing.

Our apps may offer in-app purchases and auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple. The price, renewal period and what is included are shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your Apple Account settings, at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

Apple processes payments and decides refunds. NexaraTech cannot reverse an Apple charge, but we can help with restoring purchases or missing access. See Refunds and billing.

08 · Changes and apps in design

Features can change.

We may update, improve, change or discontinue features, apps, or this website. If we remove a significant paid feature, we will give reasonable notice where we can.

Apps and features shown as in design or in development, including VEYRA Media Vault, ReceiptWise and Kroma for Mac, are not yet generally available and are not an offer to sell. Their details may change before release, and they may not be released. If we let you use a pre-release version of Kroma for Mac, for example for testing or a platform’s app review, these terms apply to it, and it may contain errors or change without notice.

09 · Disclaimers

Provided as is, within the law.

We work hard to make our apps reliable, but they are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms removes warranties, guarantees or rights that consumer law in your province, state or country gives you and that cannot be excluded.

10 · Limits of liability

Fair, stated limits.

To the extent the law allows:

  • NexaraTech is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill.
  • NexaraTech is not responsible for what platforms, Apple or other third parties do, including rejected, removed or delayed posts, account actions, or service outages.
  • Our total liability for all claims relating to our apps, website or support is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the app concerned in the 12 months before the claim arose, or CA$100.

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or gross negligence, and they do not reduce statutory rights you have as a consumer, including in Ontario, Quebec, the European Union or the United Kingdom.

11 · Ending use

You can stop at any time.

You can stop using our apps at any time by deleting them. We may suspend or end your access where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or a serious or repeated breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue, including ownership, limits of liability and governing law, survive.

12 · Governing law and disputes

Ontario law, with your local rights kept.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of mandatory laws where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts where you live if those laws allow it. Otherwise, disputes will be heard by the courts of Ontario.

If something goes wrong, please contact us first. Most problems can be solved by email, and we will try to resolve your concern within 30 days. Nothing here requires arbitration or prevents you from joining a class proceeding where the law allows it.

13 · General

The fine print.

These terms, Apple’s licence, and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about our apps. For Kroma Creator Vault distributed through Apple's App Store, this entire-agreement statement does not replace or override Apple's Standard License Agreement, which governs the application licence and any matters within its scope. If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right straight away does not waive it. We may transfer these terms as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business. You may not transfer them without our consent.

We may update these terms by posting a new version here. For material changes, we will give at least 30 days’ notice on this website, and in the app where practical, before they take effect. If you keep using our apps after that, the updated terms apply.

These terms are available in English and French. Both versions are equally valid.
